Extension services play a crucial role by improving skills and access to information that result in greater farm level innovations, especially on family farms which are the predominant form of agriculture in the world.
This study analyzed the connection between strategies implemented by extension services and technology adoption on family farms.
In view of this, Deputy Ministry of food and Agriculture has launched the Agriculture ease extension services in Ghana strategic and action plan document 2022.
These documents consist of all measures and strategies that would improve the productivity of farmers at the end of the cultivation season.
According to the ministry, Agriculture ease extension services in Ghana strategic and action plan document 2022 would help improve the skills and access to information that result in greater farm level innovations to the farmers.
Speaking at the launch, the deputy minister for food and Agriculture in charge of crops, Honourable Yaw Frimpong Addo said the Agriculture ease extension services in Ghana strategic and action plan document 2022 will be a huge boost to Ghana’s Agriculture sector.
Mr Yaw Frimpong Addo thanks all the developing partners who over the years have been supporting the food and Agriculture ministry in delivering their visions and mandates, adding that, the ministry would do whatever it can in the promotion of Agric economy in the country with the support of its partners.
He also indicated that, the Agriculture ease extension services in Ghana strategic and action plan document 2022 would help improve government flagship programs such as, the planting for food and jobs, rearing for food and jobs among others.
The launch of Extension strategy would required a digital platform like radio and other digital platforms to help work on the farms.
The launch was held at the Menzvic hotel at East legon in Accra, brought together the deputy minister for Agriculture, officials from Farm radio international, resource persons from the Agriculture sector, farmers among other stakeholders.
The launch was in support from the Farm radio international, a non governmental organization that partners with radio stations to serve African farming families and communities.
