The Madina Job Center operating in the Office of the member of parliament for the Madina Constituency is proud to announce its role as the implementing partner for the upcoming Youth and Women in Agriculture Project which is being organized in collaboration with LIPREC and the Australian High commission.

Phase one of the Madina Job Center’s Youth and Women in Agriculture Project implemented in collaboration with Fafape Foe of E90 Gh limited and the International Mushroom and spices association in March 2021, saw 100 women receiving training in Mushroom farming and production.

This years partnership introduces Phase Two of the Madina Job Center’s youth in Agriculture initiative.
The training is targeting women and youth who have lost livelihoods due to the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic or other factors. Beneficiaries will be trained on layer chicken and rabbit production, including processing, as well as aspects of business management and entrepreneurship.
The training will go on for one month with both theory sessions in classroom and practical sessions on the farm.

This project is sponsored by the Australian High Commission. The Project Cordinator for this project is Madam Martha Adjorlolo of LIPREC who is very passionate about supporting women with alternate livelihood skills and will be working with the operations team of Madina Job Center headed by Madam Priscilla Naa Aklerh Plange.

Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, the MP for the Madina Constituency is passionate about Job creation and continues to work to provide opportunities for growth of the constituents.

It is the goal that beneficiaries of the program will go on to start poultry and livestock production and continue the ripple impact effect by training others as well.
