The second edition of the highly anticipated Agritech West Africa exhibition, along with Food & Beverage Ghana and FoodPack Tech Ghana exhibitions, is set to take place from March 15-17, 2023 at the Accra International Conference Center.

The expo, organized by Wegvoraus Exhibitions, will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Food & Agriculture of Ghana and with the support of the Ministry of Trade & Industry of Ghana.

According to Mr. Thomas James, Project Director Agritech West Africa, Wegvoraus, the event is in line with the development goals of the Ghana government’s commitment to value-added agriculture and targeted food security.

“We are thrilled to bring together top-notch companies from different parts of the world to showcase their products and services in the agriculture industry,” said James.

The Agritech West Africa with Food & Beverage and FoodPack Tech Ghana exhibition covers the entire value chain of agriculture, with approximately 100 companies exhibiting from countries such as India, South Africa, Turkey, Nigeria, Ghana, UK, Italy, France, and Spain. These companies will represent multiple product segments, including agrochemicals, agriculture technology, irrigation, biofeeds, food processing and packaging technologies, food innovation, processed and packed food & beverage items.

The expo is expecting a total gathering of nearly 5000 business and professional visitors, including those from the agribusiness sector, commercial and small farmers, food & beverage industries, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retail chains, and supermarkets of foodstuffs and agriculture items.

“This event will be a great platform for exhibiting companies to meet with Ghanaian and West African business partners, including growers, manufacturers, and traders/distributors, to discuss new products and collaborate for business partnerships,” said Mr. James. “Moreover, the expo will provide an opportunity to introduce and adapt new innovations in the practice of agriculture and food processing packaging sector.”

In addition to the exhibitions, the event will also feature seminars and conferences running concurrently for two days, bringing together government agencies, commercial farmers, research institutions, trade associations, and chambers of commerce to discuss and exchange ideas and innovations related to the sector.

The Agritech West Africa exhibition, along with Food & Beverage Ghana and FoodPack Tech Ghana exhibitions, is an event not to be missed for those in the agriculture and food processing industry. With support from organizations such as the West African Chamber of Agriculture, Croplife Ghana, Ghana Union of Traders Association, Food & Beverage Association of Ghana, Farmer Organization Network of Ghana, and Federation of Association of Ghanaian Exporters, this event promises to bring together the best in the industry.

“We are proud to be a part of this exhibition and look forward to providing valuable insights and knowledge to the attendees,” the Project Director said. “The agriculture industry plays a crucial role in the development of any country and we are eager to see the latest innovations and technologies being displayed at this event.”

The conference center is already buzzing with excitement as the preparations for the exhibition are underway. Exhibitors are preparing to showcase their products and services to a large audience, while attendees are looking forward to learning more about the latest trends and advancements in the agriculture industry.

“The agriculture industry is constantly evolving and we are dedicated to providing a platform for all stakeholders to come together, network and collaborate to drive the industry forward,” said James. “We are expecting a great turnout and a successful event and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the Agritech West Africa exhibition in March 2023.”
