The Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa) has announced the 13th edition of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show, scheduled for September 20-28, 2025, at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.
This year’s Show, on the theme: “Urban Places, Green Spaces”, focuses on the urgent need to reimagine Ghana’s urban environments as vibrant ecosystems of sustainability, wellness, and opportunity.
A statement issued by Stratcomm Africa in Accra said the theme underscored the role of green infrastructure in creating healthier and more resilient urban spaces, especially as cities faced growing climate pressures.
It said the direction for the 2025 edition was inspired by insights from Mr Charles Abani, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana, and keynote speaker at the Flower Show 2024, who emphasised embedding sustainability into urban planning policies.
His message resonated with the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement and shaped this year’s vision of transforming “concrete jungles into green sanctuaries that nourish both people and the planet.”
The nine-day Ghana Garden and Flower Show 2025 will have both local and international exhibitors, industry leaders in floriculture and horticulture, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, families, students, and policy makers participating.
The event will showcase innovation, inspiration, and education through cutting-edge green technologies, creative landscaping, and sustainable urban solutions.
Activities will include daily exhibitions of floriculture, horticulture, and eco-friendly innovations; the “Green to Riches” conference on green entrepreneurship and policy with a focus on youth; masterclasses and demonstrations for practical skills.
There will also be children’s activities under the “Little Green Fingers” programme.
Evening events will feature Music Night, Drama Night, and the “Fashion in Bloom” show.
Ms Esther A.N. Cobbah, the Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa and Convener of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show, said: “In the face of global challenges with climate change, transforming our urban environment is not optional; it is an urgent necessity.”
She said the Show was not just an event but a movement, recognising green spaces as essential to how people lived, worked, and thrived.
“We must be intentional about reclaiming our cities for both people and plants,” she added.
Ms Cobbah invited individuals, organisations, development partners, corporate bodies, and educational institutions to participate as exhibitors, sponsors, partners, or visitors.
She urged the stakeholders to work together to transform cities into thriving centres of health, innovation, beauty, and shared prosperity.
Stratcomm Africa called on government agencies, civil society, academic institutions, and the private sector to join the event and contribute towards building a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more resilient Ghana.
